It is waterproof and has endured rain with 30mph winds with a few weights on the table in addition to the sewn in tie downs. Normally no extra weights needed just for rain. I am satisfied with the purchase and price and recommend this product. Now if the weather would only allow unclothed patio furniture so I could enjoy it! It claims that its made of heavy material, it resist craking, tearing, etc... Sure it does all that if its protected from snow, rain, wind, heat, cold. Basicaly, its good item for indoor use and NOT for OUTDOOR. If all you need is a dust cover, it will probably be fine. Also, there are no proper tie downs or tightening mechanism, it just sits loosely over the table.
